The authors examine the full life cycle of an NGO from the legal intricacies of founding, drafting a charter, and defining a purpose to the complex processes of state registration, obtaining non-profit status, and mechanisms for termination of activities stressing the importance of freedom of association as a hallmark of a democratic state.
