Key findings:

A non-governmental organization is a voluntary association of citizens established in the form of a non-entrepreneurial society, which acquires the status of a legal entity exclusively from the moment of state registration. The author emphasizes that such organizations possess special legal capacity, which is determined by their non-profit nature and their statutory purpose satisfying the shared social, economic, or cultural interests of their members. A significant conclusion is the necessity of harmonizing special legislation with the provisions of the Civil Code of Ukraine to eliminate contradictions in the regulation of their activities.
