Merezhyva Zakarpattia: strengthening the legal capacity of participants in the women's movement

About the project

The project strengthens the legal and security capacity of women's movement participants, women and girls from vulnerable groups, including IDPs, Roma women, and survivors of domestic and gender-based violence.

The project combines legal education, individual consultations and support for complex cases, operation of a regional hotline, digital security training, and support for the resilience of activists and volunteers. Special attention is given to women who lack documents or require comprehensive legal, psychological, and social assistance.

Target Audience

Participants of the women's movement and Coalition 1325, representatives of women's organizations and initiatives, women and girls who have experienced violence, internally displaced and Roma women, women with disabilities, female family members of veterans, activists, and volunteers

Expected Results

Women and girls better understand their rights, know available protection mechanisms, and have more opportunities to receive legal, psychological, and social assistance.

Roma women and girls overcome legal and administrative barriers related to the lack of documents, and survivors of violence gain a more accessible path to safety and comprehensive support.

Participants of the women's movement and organizations of Coalition 1325 enhance their expertise, interaction, and capacity to respond to women's needs, advocate for gender-sensitive solutions, and support the implementation of the "Women, Peace, and Security" agenda.
