On September 1, an event dedicated to human rights was held for Year 5 pupils at Uzhhorod Gymnasium No. 14.
During the session, Polina Malesh spoke to the pupils about fundamental human rights, their importance in everyday life, and the need to respect the rights of others.
Particular emphasis was placed on interaction. Together with the children, they discussed real-life situations in which human rights might be respected or violated. The pupils actively participated in the discussion, shared their views, and asked questions.
The event provided an opportunity to begin the new academic year with an important conversation about rights, freedoms, and responsibilities, while also reminding the children that knowing their rights is an essential part of feeling safe and confident in everyday life.
This project is funded by the Uzhhorod Committee of the Corvallis Sister Cities Association.
